Easy Barbecue–Slow Cooker
2-4 lb. boneless Boston Butt
Bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s is a good choice. Publix brand is also delicious.)
Salt and pepper
Water
- Remove the meat from the packaging and rinse. Place in slow cooker.
- Fill the slow cooker with about an inch of water.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover, cook on high for 6-8 hours.
- Remove meat from slow cooker and pour out the liquid.
- Use two forks to shred meat. Remove any fatty parts.
- Place meat back in slow cooker and add barbecue sauce to taste.
- Cover, cook on high for 20-30 minutes.
- Serve on buns or rolls if desired.
